Dextrose

Adding dextrose to your body art henna paste helps to improve consistency for a nice flow. It also aids with adhesion of paste to skin, slows the dry time, and can reduce cracking / flaking when dry. We suggest adding 50g of dextrose to 100g of henna powder, or if you are buying our 20g bag of henna, 10g of dextrose would be appropriate. Please increase or decrease for to your own liking though.
 
We suggest you add dextrose to the dry henna powder and mix thoroughly before adding liquid (much like mixing sugar and flour together for smooth batters). This will allow for a smoother initial paste as you incorporate liquid into the powder.
 
50g or 10g dextrose (derived from corn)
Store in a cool, dry place.
